Kōrero mō te tūranga | About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Groundskeeper to join our Site Services team and help maintain the beauty, safety, and cleanliness of our outdoor spaces. The ideal candidate will take pride in their work, enjoy working outdoors in all seasons, and have a strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the general appearance of the campus grounds and gardens.
- Regular mowing of courtyard lawns.
- Maintain the site gardens, including planting, weeding, spraying and development of new areas.
- Minor tree pruning and removal of fallen trees.
- Operate and maintain groundskeeping tools and machinery.
- Assist with minor landscaping and outdoor repair projects.

Ōpūmanawa | About you
- Appropriate grounds, horticulture or arboriculture trade qualification and/or
- Previous experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or outdoor maintenance.
- Current Driver Licence
- Current Growsafe Certificate and Chainsaw Safety Certificate preferred, or willingness to train or refresh in this area.
- Ability to operate and maintain basic landscaping equipment.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and physically fit to handle manual labour.
- A team player with a proactive attitude.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
